Sunita Williams the Indian origin women astronaut is off to space in his "Expedition 32" for four month mission.
In a small village Julasan 6 km from Mehsana-Ahmedabad highway, it was the atmosphere and celebration like Diwali. Sunita's father Mr Pandya is from Julasan , and her mother is from Slovenia. The entire village was very exited and had organised a prayer meeting for her safe journey.The sarpanch of the village said that Sunita is the daughter of the village and also the daughter of space we are all proud of her .
Sunita is a sports lover and will watch London Olympics from space . She will also cast her vote from space for the US general election on November 6.
